The team at Mary Eddy’s, located inside 21c Oklahoma City, is mashing up flavors from both KY and GA in their take on the standard Mint Julep.  ENJOY!

GEORGIA JULEP

The Georgia Julep combines our favorite flavors from Kentucky and Georgia and pours them into a copper cup in OKC. We have infused Brown-Forman’s own Old Forester Bourbon with fresh peaches and blended that with a Moroccan Mint Tea syrup and Peach Bitters to give a little more interesting flair to the textbook Mint Julep. We top that off with tons of fresh mint and finely crushed ice and the result is a sweet, boozy yet refreshing take on a classic!

Recipe:

2oz Peach-Infused Old Forester Bourbon

1/2oz Moroccan Mint Tea Syrup

2 dashes of Peach Bitters

Handful of fresh mint

Place handful of mint at bottom of copper cup. Crush ice and fill copper cup ¾ full. Build ingredients in the copper cup, then stir until the sides of the cup frost over. Top with more crushed ice and garnish with mint sprig and peach slice.
