Alice Gray Stites to speak at Association of Midwest Museums Annual Conference

On TUES 07.21.15, VP Museum Director and Chief Curator Alice Gray Stites will be speaking at the Director’s Luncheon for the Association of Midwest Museums Annual Conference on the topic of “What Makes a Museum Today.” Alice is charged with overseeing curated exhibitions and cultural programming for each 21c property, as well as sourcing art. Before taking on this role, Alice was Director of artwithoutwalls, Adjunct Curator for the Speed Art Museum, and has served in various editorial roles for ARTnews, Contemporanea, and Art & Auction. She will be speaking on how she went from working in more traditional museum settings to applying her training in the for-profit sector.
