Whether your kids are back at school, or still at home trying to navigate this “new normal”, they deserve a break, and so do you! Bentonville serves as the perfect escape for you and your family. You will find comfort and be refreshed with plenty of outdoor activities and venues taking the proper precautions to keep you and your family safe during your visit. We didn’t forget about the furry member of your family! We are waiving pet fees for the remainder of 2020, so this can really be a getaway for the whole family.

Here is our guide to the perfect fall family getaway in Bentonville:

First, on the agenda, check into 21c Bentonville where you probably will run into a Green Penguin supporting the mask mandate. For your safety and the safety of our communities, we ask that you also wear a mask and practice social distancing during your visit. For the most up to date information about all of our cleanliness and wellness policies, designed with the safety of our teammates and guests in mind, click here. Once you are settled into your room head down to The Hive where Executive Chef Matthew McClure and team will provide all the fuel needed for your Bentonville adventure. Before you head out on the town, stroll around our gallery space featuring our current exhibition, “Refuge”.

Ready to start exploring? The Amazeum brings learning to life and enhances family involvement while evoking a sense of curiosity and discovery through hands-on activities. With a variety of experiences like The Float Trip in the Hershey’s Lab where you explore density, buoyancy, and engineering or filming stop motion animation in the Nickelodeon Play Lab, everyone will have fun learning something new!

Head over to The Momentary, the new contemporary art space built in a former cheese plantExperience Nick Cave: Untilthe largest and most ambitious project yet from the renowned artist, along with multiple visual outdoor projects. Refuel with coffee from Onyx Coffee Lab or grab a bite while you play Bocce Ball out on the Momentary Green.

What is a visit to Bentonville without a little biking? If you couldn’t fit your bike in your suitcase, don’t worry! There are plenty of great places to rent a bike in town (we suggest spoke adventures or phat tire), and we even offer Bike Storage for guests of the hotel. Enjoy a leisurely ride through The Square or break a sweat on one of the longer outdoor trails for which Bentonville is knownCheck out Bike Bentonville for a list of trails available to find the ride that is right for you and your family.

Make sure to save time for Crystal BridgesThis free American Art museum’s mission is to welcome all to celebrate the American spirit in a setting that unites the power of art with the beauty of nature. A one of a kind of experience with both interior galleries and outdoor trails becomes even more unique with the return of North Forest Lights! Enjoy an enchanted nighttime walk through the woods featuring dynamic, nature-inspired lighting elements, and immersive soundscapes, but be sure to reserve your tickets in advance as this event is selling out fast!
