21c Louisville is proud to partner with Louisville Ballet for a special performance in celebration of Hybridity: The New Frontier. Choreographer Adam Hougland will premiere a dance collaboration inspired by featured artist Chris Doyle’s dual projection video Idyllwild with featured dancers: Helen Daigle, Kateryna Sellers and Ryan Stokes.
Performances will take place on MON 05.18.15 and TUES 05.19.15 at 7pm, 8pm & 9pm. Guests are welcome to come and go during the event.

About Adam Hougland: A graduate of The Juilliard School, Adam danced professionally with The Limon Dance Company, Toronto Dance Theatre and The Lar Lubovitch Dance Company. Hougland went on to create original works for Morphoses/The Wheeldon Company, The American Ballet Theatre Studio Company, Introdans in the Netherlands, The Limon Dance Company, Cedar Lake Ensemble, The Washington Ballet, Ballet Memphis, Ballet X and The New York Choreographic Institute at New York City Ballet. He has created works for internationally recognized dancers such as Sofiane Sylve and Marcelo Gomes. He has won The Princess Grace Award for Choreography, The Choo-San Goh Award for Choreography, a New York State Council for the Arts Commissioning Grant, was one ofPointe Magazines’ 10 VIP’s of 2006 and was named one of Dance Magazine’s 25 to watch for 2011. He has created critically acclaimed original works for the companies including Mozart’s Requiem,Rite of Spring and The Firebird. (R)EVOLUTION, a full evening of Adam’s work, will be presented at Louisville Ballet March 2016.
