King’s Sandwich Shop
For a quick bite to eat, stop by King’s Sandwich Shop. This walk-up establishment has been serving up some of Durham’s best hot dogs, burgers, fries and shakes since 1942. “The food is amazing and reminds me of earlier times like eating hot dogs at the ballpark.” – Vernadell
Pie Pushers
Right across the street from 21c you can find “Durham style” thin crust pizza topped with a funky assortment of seasonal ingredients. Pie Pushers started as a popular local food truck before making the move to a brick-and-mortar store right in the middle of downtown. “I try to visit on Wing Wednesdays, when you can get an order of their awesome buffalo wings for just five bucks.
