Have you been missing travel? We certainly have and we can’t wait to share our amazing city with you. As you prepare to hit the road for your next adventure, you’ll find the world a little different from what you remember, but don’t worry, we’ve put together a list highlighting our favorite activities, events and experiences throughout the city to help ease all of your planning woes. Here’s our guide to Bentonville for your upcoming visit…
First, here’s what to do right here…
You don’t have to go far to explore, indulge and recharge when you stay at 21c Bentonville. As you walk through our doors, you’re immediately immersed in our current exhibitions Still Life with Discontent and Truth or Dare: A Reality Show and site-specific installations. You’ll even stumble upon exhibitions in our restaurant (on view now: Buzzkill) and on every guest floor (“Elevate at 21c“).
Hungry? Enjoy local and bold flavors for prepared by Executive Matt McClure at our onsite restaurant, The Hive (see current hours).
Eats and Drinks…
Bentonville is home to a growing food and beverage scene. For a small town, we have a lot of big flavors. Get your caffeine fix from Onyx Coffee Lab. With freshly in-house-roasted coffee, pastries, and breakfast items you can’t go wrong starting your day here. Or the newly opened Sunny’s that sources local ingredients to give you a fresh breakfast. If you are in town for the weekend and looking for brunch options, come down and hang with us at The Hive (or enjoy a lazy morning with room service!). Or head over to Louise at Thaden Field where you can watch airplanes take off and land and enjoy lake views while eating your meal, it is also located next to the newly opened Osage Park! The Pressroom is always a good move and they are currently open for lunch and dinner five days a week.
With all the fun you are having in Bentonville, you are going to need to fuel up! You’ll find something for every craving here. From some classic barbeque at Wright’s Barbecue, wood-fired pizza from Oven & Tap, to tacos and margaritas at Table Mesa. Go a bit fancier with duck breast and signature cocktails from Preacher’s Son.
Ready for a drink? Undercroft (located underneath Preacher’s Son) is a speakeasy-style bar in the basement of a church, that frequently hosts fun pop-ups! If you want to sit back and take in the views head up to Tower Bar, the rooftop bar that is loosely inspired by 1960s airport lounges. Whiskey fan? Build your own whiskey flight at Scotch & Soda with an incredible selection you will see why they were named one of the best Whiskey Bars. Taste some local brews at Bentonville Brewing, bonus their taproom features an outdoor play area for kids and dogs so the whole family will be entertained!
Where to explore indoors and outdoors…
Ready to explore Bentonville? Discover our vibrant street art scene with a self-guided mural tour. The art scene doesn’t stop there! Bentonville is home to some incredible art institutions. The Crystal Bridges Art Museum is a free American Art museum, whose mission is to welcome all to celebrate the American spirit in a setting that unites the power of art with the beauty of nature. Truly a one kind of experience with both interior galleries and outdoor trails. Next head over to The Momentary, the new contemporary art space built in a former cheese plant. Experience the galleries that are currently brimming with visual art, along with multiple visual outdoor projects. Grab a bite and a drink from the Rode Bar and Momentary Food truck while you play Bocce Ball out on the Momentary Green.
Here for the bike scene? We don’t blame you! Plan your bike ride from Bike Bentonville they provide routes/trails for every level rider. One of our favorite spots? Coler Mountain Bike Preserve. You’ll feel like you are in the backcountry of the Ozarks, even though you are only a couple miles away from the hotel. Still have an adventurous side, but biking not quite your thing? Climb Bentonville may be your place.
Whether it is your first time in Bentonville, or your tenth you can never go wrong visiting the Walmart 5 & 10. See where it all began with Walmart, and then head to the Spark Café, the soda foundation for a sweet treat! If you have the little ones with you, The Amazeum brings learning to life and enhances family involvement while evoking a sense of curiosity and discovery through hands-on activities. The newly reopened MONAH (Museum of Native American History) is fun and educational for the whole family!
