About The Music in May Festival
The Music in May Festival is a way for the University of Louisville School of Music to raise awareness of the strength and depth of talent of our faculty, alumni and students. We are very happy to partner with the Louisville Mayor’s office, The Kentucky Center, The Kentucky Derby Museum, The Kentucky Science Museum and 21c Museum Hotel for this series of unique musical events. We are excited that our anchor event is the UofL Percussion Project series of events and concerts. Besides raising our profile in the community, these musical events are our gift to our partners and the city at large.
With a long and distinguished history of artistic and educational achievement, the School of Music is building on its record of excellence and extending our programs to new audiences, both national and international in scope. Visitors to our website will find information reflecting our continued high level of engagement with local opportunities coupled with an expansion of our mission to new venues and horizons.
