Mecca Live Studio And Gallery and 21c Lexington invite you to join us for an evening of belly dance performances and dancing after the downtown Gallery Hop. Featured performers include members of Rakadu, Lexington’s nationally acclaimed belly dance troupe, as well as student performances. Performances will take place in the main gallery at 21c Museum Hotel in Lexington. Free and open to the public.

About Mecca Live Studio
Mecca opened in April of 1999 on North Limestone as a place for multicultural forms of dance, performance and local art and expression. Through the years, Mecca has collaborated with many local artists, businesses and community groups such as Latitude, Third Street Stuff, Isle of You, The Children’s Museum, UK Dance Ensemble, Natasha’s Cafe, Parks and Recreation, WRFL, Lexington Action Arts Collective and more to create great performance art shows, theater productions and community inclusive events such as its annual recreation of Thriller and Lexington’s Mardi Gras Parade. Mecca is also the home of Rakadu, a nationally renowned Belly Dance Performance Company and Hallwa, itʼs musical counterpart as well as the playing and practice field for March Madness Marching Band.
