About INVERSE
Inverse Performance Art Festival began in 2016 in Northwest Arkansas. Organized and curated by Cynthia Post Hunt of Fayetteville, AR and Emma Saperstein of San Luis Obispo, CA, the festival continues to elevate the medium of performance in the Northwest Arkansas region. This year, the festival has grown to include a second community, that of the Southern California region (specifically San Luis Obispo / Santa Barbara area). Including artists recognized on local, national, and international platforms, the festival hosts a variety of performances with diversity of content and duration. Inverse actively participates in the already existing and thriving art communities of both regions, and exists in part due to the community’s support. For the 2017 Northwest Arkansas portion of the festival, Inverse is hosted by the University of Arkansas Faulkner Performing Arts Center, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, 21c Hotel Museum Bentonville, the University of Arkansas Art & Design District, and Feast Gallery.
The festival dates are March 30 – April 1, 2017 in Northwest Arkansas and September 28 – 30, 2017 in San Luis Obispo, California.
