As part of her artistic practice, photographer Tiff J. Sutton centers Black femininity. Sutton’s photographs, on display for Elevate at 21c St. Louis, feature subjects who are artists and Black women.

Join us on April 7th for a presentation from Tiff J. Sutton and Hayveyah McGowan and a conversation between the two artists. Sutton centers her subjects within her artwork, layering the intellectual and emotional imprint of her sitters, and lovingly portraying them as individuals that radiate with life. In uplifting other artists, Sutton hopes to create a space for communal support and conversation.

Tiff J. Sutton’s artwork is on display as part of Elevate at 21c St. Louis until June 2024 in the Billiards Room.
