21c St. Louis presents visiting collectors George and Esohe Galbreath. This Atlanta-based couple have been collecting contemporary art for more than a decade with a focus on collecting the work of artists from their local community. The Galbreath’s will present the story of their collecting journey and share some of the stories of their experiences. They believe we all have a role to play in the arts ecosystem and that art collecting is accessible to everyone.

About George and Esohe Galbreath:

Esohe Galbreath and her husband, George – a high school art educator and artist, are active art collectors. They are co-founders of ARTiculate ATL, an annual art social for local emerging artists and the Youth Artists Program – a 501c3 non-profit bridging the exposure gap of some of Atlanta’s most visually talented youth. For more than ten years, they have been on an art collecting journey in an effort to showcase, highlight and amplify the works and voices of artists that inspire them. They hope to inspire others to support local, emerging talent and collect artwork. The Galbreath Collection, A Decade of Collecting Atlanta, a book which documents the art collecting journey of George and Esohe Galbreath will be available during the event.
