Art goes to the movies with 21c Oklahoma City’s Filmography, a free monthly film series at 21c Oklahoma City in partnership with deadCenter Film and the OKC Film Society. Filmography takes place on the third Friday of each month.

Join us in January for the fifth feature film from acclaimed director Darren Aronofsky. The Wrestler is an intimate drama about Randy “The Ram” Robinson, an aging pro wrestler, played by Mickey Rourke. Far from the arenas he filled decades before, Randy struggles with the realization that he must transition to a life outside the ring due to health concerns, even though he still has a passion for his craft. Rourke delivers the best performance of his career with co-stars Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood. Aronofsky considers The Wrestler to be a companion film to his 2009 film Black Swan as the films are about the lowest and highest forms of physical art.
