Spalding at 21c: Vision and Voice

The Spalding at 21c: Voice and Vision literary series continues its 2016 season with a slate of notable poets and writers. The May line-up features five award-winning local and regional poets: prominent local businesswoman Nana Lampton (Wash the Dust from My Eyes), Debra Kang Dean (Fugitive Blues), George Eklund (The Island Blade), Jeremy Keenan Jackson, and Morgan Eklund. Rounding out the line-up are novelist Mary Popham (Back Home in Landing Run) and playwright and fiction writer Rick Neumayer (Mark Twain on the River: A Musical).
The evening begins with a few open-mic presentations of 1- to 2-minute readings of works in progress. Individuals may sign up for an open-mic presentation on a first-come, first-serve basis just before the evening program begins. Open-mic readings should be rehearsed and carefully timed at home not to exceed two minutes.
