Pecha Kucha Night: Louisville #6

December 7, 2011 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

$5.00

A Pecha Kucha is an evening of creative people presenting interesting ideas in unique places. It’s a knowledge and thought sharing revolution that is taking place in communities around the world through local organizing efforts. A Pecha Kucha evening consists of around a dozen brief lectures delivered in rapid succession with each presenter given twenty slide images to advance a story or idea. Each slide is viewed for exactly 20 seconds. Think of it as speed lectures where each “professor” only has 400 seconds before the next “professor” begins.

This month’s speakers include:

Amy Potts – Preservation Kentucky
Lauren Argo – Louisville based artist and actor
Andrew Berry – Forest Manager, Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest
Billy Davis – Kentucky Mountain Bike Association
George Parker – Co-Founder KYGreenTV
Nathan Smith – Architect and professor of Architecture at UK
Greg Abernathy – Wild Kentucky (mixture of maps and pictures) focused on biodiversity
Jay Strottman – KY Archaeological Survey
John Campbell – Revitalization of Craft Beers in Louisville
And more…
