21c Louisville is proud to present Interwoven: A Tribute to Enid Yandell, an exhibition of artworks by Leticia Bajuyo, Linda Erzinger, Valerie Sullivan Fuchs, Bette Levy, and Joyce Ogden. We invite you to join us for a gallery talk with these artists to learn more about the works featured in the exhibition and their artistic practice. As members of ENID: Generations of Women Sculptors, a collective of female sculptors named for Enid Yandell, these artists continue the legacy of Yandell and work to encourage, educate, and mentor women artists.
During the gallery talk, we will also have the unique experience of using augmented reality to view one of Enid Yandell’s most renowned public commissions, her colossal sculpture Pallas Athena created for the 1897 Nashville Centennial Exposition. Louisville artists Keli Allen, Mary Yates, and Mary Dennis Kannapell have created this augmented reality experience of Pallas Athena that can be viewed outside 21c Museum Hotel Louisville and they will share that project during the event.
