Join us for a reception celebrating the exhibition ʺBill Luster: A Retrospectiveʺ at Proof on Main. Luster’s photographs both document and dematerialize the world, rendering specificity of subject with a poetic vision. A native Kentuckian, Luster has covered local, national, and international news, and created multiple portfolios of landscape and travel photography. Luster is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including two Pulitzer prizes. In 2010, the National Press Photographers’ Association awarded Luster the Joseph Sprague Award, the highest honor in documentary photography for lifetime achievement.
