ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hyewon Grigoni is a Durham-based artist who has engaged in a variety of creative practices since childhood. Lately, she focuses on painting, dioramas, and motherhood. Currently, Hyewon works in research ethics at one of the local universities, but hopes to return to painting and teaching the arts full-time in the future.

Hyewon believes that art, like good writing or good religion, can comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable. The artist hopes Code of Ethics will achieve a little of both in equal measure.
