Experience “Playtime at the Museum” led by Maria Geary of Relaxing in Art at 21c Durham on Sunday, March 17, from 1 pm to 4 pm. Maria Geary, a mixed media fiber artist, will guide us in creative art-making activities where everyone can “play.”

This is a free community drop-in event with all supplies provided. Kids and youth must be accompanied by a supervising adult or parent, and no prior art-making skills are needed. Adults are encouraged to play too!

Activities include:

• Watercolor Resist: Use white crayons and liquid watercolors to draw on paper (5×7) and reveal your design with paint.
• Salt Painting: Draw with squeeze glue, cover with salt, and add color by touching the glue with paint.
• Just Color!: Draw or color pre-printed sheets (90# watercolor paper) using water-soluble media like Inktense pencils and crayons.
