Gather ’round for a casual evening of conversation, cocktails and contemporary art. Whether you’re a budding young arts patron or just looking for a relaxed evening of culture, 21café welcomes all  and is free and open to the public. The evening will begin in The Hive’s Lounge Gallery where guests are welcome to grab a libation at The Hive’s bar  followed by a tour with Museum Manager Dayton Castelman. Conversation and dialogue are encouraged!

This month  join us for a special Artist Spotlight Lecture featuring Stephanie Pierce. Cash bar and meet and greet begins at 7pm, artist lecture at 7:30pm.

About the artist:
Stephanie Pierce received her MFA from the University of Washington in Seattle, BFA from The Art Institute of Boston, and attended the Yale Norfolk Summer School of Art. Sourcing common objects such as a bed, plant, and radio, Stephanie Pierce’s perceptually based paintings reveal passages of change as light and viewpoints shift over time and the everyday resides in a state of unhinging fragmentation, flux and possibility. Stephanie’s work is represented by Alpha Gallery in Boston. Her work has been exhibited nationally including Steven Harvey Fine Art Projects, NY, The Henry Art Gallery, Seattle; Asheville Art Museum, NC; Space Gallery, Portland, Art Chicago, Argazzi Art, CT, and has been published in the New Yorker Magazine. In 2012 she was awarded an Arkansas Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship. She has work included in the collections of Joan and Roger Sonnabend, Museum of Fine Arts Boston, and the Boston Public Library. Prior to joining University of Arkansas faculty in the spring of 2007, Stephanie taught at The University of Washington in Seattle.
