Free and open to the publicGather ’round for a casual evening of conversation, cocktails and contemporary art. Whether you’re a budding young arts patron or just looking for a relaxed evening of culture, 21café welcomes all and is free and open to the public. The evening will begin in The Hive Lounge Gallery where guests are welcome to grab a libation followed by a tour with Museum Manager Dayton Castelman. Conversation and dialogue are encouraged!
In October, join us for a guest lecture with Dr. Alissa Walls, Assistant Professor of Contemporary Art at the University of Arkansas. She has also taught at Penn State and Bucknell University, offering classes on modern Europe, contemporary art, and critical theory. She has presented at conferences nationally, and curated exhibitions, including Mark Dion: Process and Inquiry, in 2011. In 2014 the journal American Art featured her article “Cy Twombly and the Art of Hunting Mushrooms” on its cover.
