Landslide: Every Tree Tells a Story

About the Exhibition

Landslide: Every Tree Tells a Story features 25 images of irreplaceable trees from around the country that are associated with historically important people and events that have shaped the development of communities and cultures. These works illustrate how landscapes, such as Louisville’s Olmsted Parks, have become narratives of our culture and expressions of regional identity.

The images were captured by 12 prize-winning and renowned photographers, including Louisville-based Bob Hower, and are part of a traveling exhibition presented by The Cultural Landscape Foundation and American Photo magazine. In conjunction with Landslide: Every Tree Tells a Story, Yew Dell Gardens in Crestwood, KY is hosting an outdoor signboard exhibit that highlights the history, threat and ways to become involved with 12 trees and tree collections across the country.
