As part of our commitment to making contemporary art a part of daily life, 21c Museum Hotel Cincinnati is partnering with Visionaries and Voices to present free monthly art classes in the gallery spaces at 21c. At this month’s V+V@21c class, join Teaching Artist Curtis Davis as he shares his paintings and describes his love of thick paint and wide brushstrokes. Davis’ work is inspired by an array of subject matter ranging from flowers and cups to hands and stained glass windows. After watching a short video clip of Curtis at work in his studio, participants will create their own “painting” using cardboard and paint markers. All materials provided. And if all the creative energy makes you thirsty, our friends at Metropole are shaking up some specials on their crafty cocktails (just $8/each) and are offering $5 local draft beers for class attendees.
