Join us during our Sip & Tour on Friday, October 25 at 6pm! Our Museum Manager, Michael, will lead you on a guided tour through our current exhibition while you enjoy a delicious cocktail inspired by the artwork on display.

This month’s cocktail, Grendaya, is inspired by the work GUEDE (Baron) by artist Myrlande Constant and features mezcal, passionfruit, orgeat, lime, pepper, and crushed ice. Grendaya, meaning passionfruit, pays homage to the artist’s Haitian heritage and how the artwork depicts ancestor worship and death rituals from all across the world. October is commonly recognized as the time of year where “the veil is at its thinnest,” meaning we can more easily connect the dead. Smoke from the mezcal, fire on your tongue from the chili tincture, and actual fire on the passionfruit for celebrating ancestors.
