ReelAbilities: Cincinnati is proud to present a lecture with Rick Guidotti at 21c Museum Hotel Cincinnati. Guidotti, a former fashion photographer (who’s work has been featured in publications such as Elle, GQ, and Harper’s Bazaar to name a few) now utilizes photography to change perceptions of beauty as well as attitudes towards people living with physical, genetic and behavioral differences. Founder of the nonprofit Positive Exposure, his photography focuses on creating images of people with differences that celebrate their uniqueness and enables audiences to see inner beauty as well as reflect on their own perceptions and beliefs about disability.

ReelAbilities: Cincinnati is a biennial film festival taking place in Cincinnati, celebrating the lives, stories and art of people with disabilities. The next festival will take place in 2015. Initiated in NY in 2007, ReelAbilities is the largest festival in the country dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation of the lives, stories and artistic expressions of people with different disabilities. The festival presents award winning films by and about people with disabilities in multiple locations throughout each hosting city. Post-screening discussions and other engaging programs bring together the community to explore, discuss, embrace, and celebrate the diversity of our shared human experience.
