Join us for the fourth annual Orientation, a discussion panel for graduating art school students ready to launch careers as professionals in the art world. Hosted by 21c Museum Hotel Cincinnati, the panel will consist of four esteemed members of the local art community. Orientation aims to provide guidance and information on the transition from the college environment to various areas of professional practice.

The event will feature the following panelists:

Katie Parker and Guy Michael Davis: Katie and Guy started Future Retrieval in 2008 with the purpose of using a process that addresses the conceptualization, discovery, and acquisition of form, to make content-loaded sculptures that reference design and are held together by craft. We incorporate an interdisciplinary approach to our work, striving to make influential historic objects relevant to today.

Matthew Dayler: Matthew is a fine artist with an MFA from Memphis U who currently teaches at AAC and is the founder of Higher Level Art, an art company that specializes in commissioned artwork that includes murals, signs,exhibitions and special projects.

Carissa Barnard: Carissa is an artist and Deputy Director of Exhibitions and Programming for FotoFocus. Previously, she was Director of Exhibitions for the Contemporary Arts Center.
