AIA Cincinnati and 21c are proud to present Ashley Schafer – Corporations, Capital, Curating. Ashley Schafer will discuss expanded architectural practices, specifically her curatorial and editorial practices as one of the curators of the US Pavilion exhibition at the Venice Biennale and as founding editor of PRAXIS journal. Following the talk attendees will hear a panel discussion with the following:

About: Ashley Schafer is a writer, designer, educator, and registered architect whose work investigates the intersection of contemporary architecture, urbanism, landscape, history, technology, and practice. She is co-founder and co-editor of PRAXIS, a journal of American architecture, co-curator of the US Pavilion at the 14th International Venice Architecture Biennale, and associate professor of architecture at The Ohio State University, where she was head of architecture from 2005 to 2009. Previously, Schafer was associate professor at Harvard University Graduate School of Design and visiting associate professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Tulane University. She received her undergraduate degree in architecture from the University of Virginia and her masters in architecture from Columbia University.
