ArtPrize is partnering with 21c Museum Hotels for Pitch Night Cincinnati, an evening where five artists from across Ohio will pitch their ambitious, large-scale installation ideas. The winner will take home a $5k cash prize to realize their idea at GVSU’s Eberhard Center for ArtPrize 10, where they will be in the running for a combination of public vote and juried awards totaling $500,000.

PARTICIPATING ARTISTS
Artists are invited to submit proposals for an installation at GVSU’s Eberhard Center. Of these submissions, five artists will be selected to give a five-minute presentation at the Pitch Night Cincinnati event, using five slides each. A panel of five expert judges and a live audience audience will ask questions of the artists following the presentations. Submissions are now being accepted for Pitch Night Cincinnati through May 4. The ArtPrize Pitch Night event series, launched in 2013 is a means of discovering and supporting exciting projects, and to reduce the barriers to bringing them to the annual competition. The Pitch Night Event Series is a part of a suite of ArtPrize granting programs that in 2017 awarded nearly $300,000 to artists, venues and educators to support their participation in the annual event.

ArtPrize will return to downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan from September 19-October 7, 2018. Artist registration will be from April 16-June 7.
