AIA Pittsburgh recently hosted the Design Awards, an annual juried design competition.  We are proud to announce that 21c Lexington was recognized for the efforts of the architects at Perfido Weiskopf Wagstaff + Goettel in collaboration with Deborah Berke Partners in preserving this historic property.

21c Lexington has received the Award for Excellence in Historic Preservation for maintaining the architectural beauty of the four buildings comprising the hotel, museum and restaurant: the 1913 First National Bank Building, Lexington’s first skyscraper; two adjacent bank annexes; and the Fayette Building, constructed in 1872.

The American Institute of Architects was founded in 1857 by 13 architects and advocates for the value of architecture and is engaged in educating architects and providing resources to the design community.  They have 260+ chapters around the world and are considered the premier leader in recognizing architects for their work.
