Hello!
I want to make sure that everyone understands the timeline for 401k changes with Mass Mutual, which is different from ADP 401k.
With ADP the changes were instantaneous as long as payroll hadn’t been processed, but Mass Mutual works differently since it isn’t linked into ADP.
Here’s how the changes work with Mass Mutual:
– All changes to zero % are effective for the next payroll as long as they are made before the Monday of a payroll week.
– All changes, other than zero, are effective the 1st of the next month as long as they are made before the 21st of the current month.
– All changes, other than zero, are effective the 1st of month following 30 days if they are made after the 22nd of the current month.
With that said, that means that if you want to drop down to zero % for the next payroll the latest you can make that change is this upcoming Sunday. If you want to make any other type of change effective May 1st you need to do that before April 21st.
All changes have to be made via the Mass Mutual 401k portal:
Lastly, if you like to budget, like me, and want to see what your net will look like after your pay reduction please email me back and I will run that for you next week.
Thanks!

Anthem’s Members Receive COVID-19 Treatment at No Cost
Dear trusted partner,
We know these are challenging times, and want you to know that Anthem remains deeply committed to supporting you and the communities we serve as we join together as a nation to weather this health crisis. This is why we’re focused on addressing critical issues that need attention now, including affordability and access.
We’re taking unprecedented action to eliminate your employees’ cost shares if they receive treatment for COVID-19 from doctors, hospitals, and other health care professionals from April 1 through May 31, 2020. Their COVID-19 testing is covered, too. They’ll also pay nothing if they have a telehealth visit with a doctor in their plan through June 14, 2020.
We know your employees already have enough things to worry about these days. Paying for treatment for this disease shouldn’t be one of them. We want them to focus on their health and care for their loved ones.
During this time of stress and uncertainty, we stand by our legacy and commitment to your company and employees. Our mission remains unchanged: to improving lives and the health of our communities.
Sincerely,
Peter D. Haytaian
Executive Vice President and President
Commercial and Specialty Business Division

WASHINGTON — The Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service today announced that distribution of economic impact payments will begin in the next three weeks and will be distributed automatically, with no action required for most people. However, some seniors and others who typically do not file returns will need to submit a simple tax return to receive the stimulus payment.
Tax filers with adjusted gross income up to $75,000 for individuals and up to $150,000 for married couples filing joint returns will receive the full payment. For filers with income above those amounts, the payment amount is reduced by $5 for each $100 above the $75,000/$150,000 thresholds. Single filers with income exceeding $99,000 and $198,000 for joint filers with no children are not eligible.
Eligible taxpayers who filed tax returns for either 2019 or 2018 will automatically receive an economic impact payment of up to $1,200 for individuals or $2,400 for married couples. Parents also receive $500 for each qualifying child.

Hi friends,
Reaching out to hopefully put a smile on your face today, knowing that each day continues to bring the most difficult challenges. We can’t even begin to know how each of you is managing, but our hearts are hurting for you all. We know, like you, that this is not just about hotels or restaurants, but that the hospitality of the 21c empire has provided something unique since its inception. And we’ve been so fortunate to be the beneficiaries of your hospitality, over and over.
While we feel a bit helpless on our end right now, we did want to just send you all a little something to let you know we were thinking of you and share some of our No Kid Hungry hospitality back ‘acha.
But before you watch from the below link, here’s my official disclaimer that we, like many, have been cooped up inside with kids and husbands, so if we seem a bit unpolished and off-brand, you’ll know why. ? Enjoy the giggle- we sure did!

Health centers are an important component of the national response to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, your local health center may not currently have COVID-19 testing capability (e.g., access to tests and/or access to adequate personal protective equipment). Call your nearest health center or health department to discover their availability for COVID-19 screening and testing. In addition, please note many school-based health centers may not be operating because of school closings and local mandates.
Health Centers can assess whether a patient needs further testing, which may be done over the phone or using telehealth. Individuals may also receive primary health care services at their local health center at a reduced cost or free of charge depending on their economic status.
Please click the appropriate location below to find your local health centers:
The Independent Restaurant Coalition (IRC) was formed to the save local restaurants affected by COVID-19. IRC is founded on the simple belief that there is power to affect legislative change if we unite our voice.
This national movement is quickly growing and EVERYONE is welcome to join. Together, as small businesses across this country, we represent up to 4% of the nation’s GDP.
For the 11 million people across the country employed by restaurants — and the hundreds of millions of workers up and down the food supply and delivery chain who depend on restaurants — these small businesses cannot fail.

So, remember: no matter what this payment winds up being, only scammers will ask you to pay to get it.
