Oklahoma City, OK (October 31, 2019) – 21c Museum Hotels, the award-winning Louisville-based boutique hotel, contemporary art museum and restaurant group, announced today the appointment of Jeff Patton as executive chef of its Oklahoma City restaurant, Mary Eddy’s Kitchen x Lounge, located in 21c Museum Hotel Oklahoma City (900 W Main Street, Oklahoma City, OK). Patton was the former chef de cuisine at Mary Eddy’s.
“I moved halfway across the country to join the opening team for Mary Eddy’s,” said executive chef, Jeff Patton. “Having the opportunity to now take the reins and share my food and perspective could not feel more right. I am excited to work with the incredible team at Mary Eddy’s to make an impact on the future of food here in Oklahoma City.”
Patton cut his teeth in Orlando restaurants before moving to Atlanta to work at Hugh Acheson’s Empire State South. During his time there, he developed an appreciation for working with local producers by creating menus dependent on what seasonal produce. In 2016, Patton moved to Oklahoma City to join the Mary Eddy’s opening team as sous chef, and quickly rose through the ranks to become chef de cuisine. He recently served as a executive chef of Banquet Cinema Club in Oklahoma City. As executive chef of Mary Eddy’s, his menus will showcase his respect for ingredients and present them without fussiness.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jeff back to Mary Eddy’s,” said Melanie Tapp, Senior Director, 21c Food and Beverage. “Jeff played an integral part in opening the restaurant and we are excited to see him expand upon his previous role. His passion and creativity will serve him well in leading the team at Mary Eddy’s.”
