Please join us for an artist lecture with Beth Cavener. Cavener’s ceramic sculptures combine human and animal traits in both form and subject matter. In her work, the intricate details of facial features, bodily form, color, and the lines delineating fur, muscle, and bone express and elicit a range of human emotions and experiences. Several of her sculptures are on display at Gray & Dudley.
Cavener will be in Nashville for a 3-day demonstration at The Clay Lady’s Studio, as well as this artist lecture at 21c, where she will inform guests about her process and the meaning behind her work. Guests are encouraged to visit our restaurant lounge before or after the lecture to view Cavener’s work in person and to enjoy a specialty cocktail inspired by, and created for, this one-night event.
