Ancestree: An Evening of Spoken Word
October 6, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Free
“ANCESTREE” goes back into the depths of generational links. Selected poets look into the roots of family hoping to discover where traits of present self forms are developed in the context of values, beliefs, leadership, and positive and negative behavior. These traits could include: loyalty, honesty, selfishness, impatience, confidence, decisiveness, fearlessness, shyness, affection, deceitfulness, manipulation, and determination- to name a few.
No matter what these traits may be, links of the past go much beyond the physical surface of the family tree, and into the heart of the roots. Join us Sunday, October 6th 2019, at 21c Museum Hotel as we discuss this topic through spoken word and interactive conversation. Tickets are free, and complimentary wine will be available.
