At every turn, 21c Cincinnati offers something to be curious about. As you approach, enjoy Werner Reiterer’s Untitled as it hovers over the sidewalk, breathing in and out; then, walk through Healing Tiles‘ glowing pool of organic patterns, and don’t miss an evening viewing of Lightmail in the solarium. Our galleries are open every day and exhibitions rotate, so make plans to visit often, and be sure to take advantage of regular cultural programming, too.

21c enlisted architecture and interiors firm Deborah Berke Partners to reimagine the 100-year old Metropole Hotel, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, as a contemporary art museum, boutique hotel, and restaurant and bar. The design team worked to restore the character of this once-grand hotel while creating a modern, forward-thinking space to showcase the work of today’s artists.

The 156 spacious guest rooms are filled with custom furnishings that lend a decidedly residential feel, providing a comfortable respite from the thought-provoking art and nonstop energy that fills the museum galleries.

Nightwatch

Experience a completely immersive art environment in this fully functional hotel room and site-specific installation by artist Chris Doyle. Outfitted with a king-sized bed and the usual 21c amenities – 55″ HDTV, Malin+Goetz bath products, and free Wi-Fi – you’ll find yourself in a realm where art and technology seamlessly blend. $21 from each stay booked in the Nightwatch suite at 21c Cincinnati will be donated to ArtsWave, a local, nonprofit organization that is dedicated to supporting and promoting the arts in the Greater Cincinnati region.
