Join us during our Sip & Tour on Friday, July 12 at 6pm for an evening of fun and inspiration!

Our Museum Manager, Michael, will lead you on a guided tour through our current exhibition, The SuperNatural, while you enjoy a delicious cocktail inspired by the artwork on display.

This month’s cocktail, Vincent’s Day Dream, is inspired by ‘Pleasant Places’ by Quayola. The light green color of the cocktail compliments the landscapes it pays homage to: the South of France, where Vincent Van Gogh lived and painted some of his best known works. The recipe also references the historical significance of absinthe in the art world of late 19th-century France. When artists imbibed of “The Green Fairy”, they sought to experience their dreamlike visions as physical reality. Topped with sparkling wine, this cocktail is a fizzy fantasy, encouraging one to gaze into the morphing landscape of Pleasant Places and question whether this is real or imaginary.
