Fine Arts Bootcamp: Starting Your Career as a Fine Artist

Free and open to the public

Join us for a workshop which will cover ways to get your fine art career off the ground, including best practices for studio visits, galleries, and applying to arts opportunities. Anna Ogier-Bloomer’s work has been exhibited nationally, and published widely online including The Huffington Post, The Daily Mail, Feature Shoot, BUST Magazine, among others. She will also teach participants how to create the essential professional materials necessary for a career in the arts, including CV, website, social media for artists, web based programs and more.

2:00-3:30pm- The first half of the workshop will be a presentation and lecture where participants are encouraged to bring their laptops to work on their personal materials.

3:30-5:00pm- Attendees will be given time to work on their own materials, and receive individual and group feedback.

About Anna Ogier-Bloomer

Anna is an exhibiting artist, a native Cincinnatian, and the Assistant Director of Career Development for the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She has worked in arts career counseling for over ten years, and previously worked in career services for Parsons School of Design and Harvard University. She contributed to the second edition of Starting Your Career as an Artist: A Guide to Launching a Creative Life.
