Searching for the perfect tree? Make lasting memories with the family and cut down your own tree at Berninger Christmas Trees & Wreaths, Corsi Tree Farm or Big Tree Plantation. Not a Griswold kind of family? Let someone else do the work and pick up a tree at Burger Farm.

Downtown Dazzle

What would the holidays be without the lights? Experience Winter Wonderland at the Cincinnati Zoo’s Festival of Lights (open Nov 19 – Jan 9). Or take a ride through the 2-mile light show display at Coney Island’s Christmas Nights of Light (open Nov 12 – Jan 2). Head downtown to Duke Energy Convention Center for Lumaze “Around the World”, which includes over 100,000 square feet of festive holiday activities (open Nov 26 – Dec 30). Experience nature in a whole new light with Cincinnati Nature Center’s Light in the Forest (open Dec 1 – Jan 2), Wed – Sun, 5-9 pm). Lace up your skates and show off your moves at the Fountain Square ice skating rink. While you’re there, see Santa rappel from a Cincinnati skyrise, followed by a colorful fireworks display hosted by Downtown Dazzle (Saturdays starting Nov 27 – Dec 18). Immerse yourself in all things Christmas cheer with a drink at Miracle at the Overlook Lodge.

From holiday scavenger hunts and Northern Lights displays to tiny, wintery LEGO villages of whimsy and the mini model train metropolis of The Duke Energy Holiday Trains, Cincinnati Museum Center’s Holiday Junction is filled with holiday magic for the whole family. Then scale things up and take a historic train ride with elves on the North Pole Express at Lebonon Mason Monroe Railroad. After, visit Scuba Santa and his sea creature neighbors at the Newport Aquarium’s Water Wonderland.

Get tickets to see A Christmas Carol at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. Enjoy all of your favorite Christmas stories again with Cincinnati Shakespeare Company’s Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and Then Some!). Looking to grab dinner before the show? Support the arts and book our Showstopper Package which includes a pre-fixe dinner for two at Metropole, turndown treat and a $10 donation to Cincinnati Arts Association.
