Proof on Main restaurant at 21c Museum Hotel Announces Participation in The James Beard Foundation’s Taste America® Local Dish Challenge
PRESS RELEASE – Proof on Main restaurant at 21c Museum Hotel has joined more than 100 other restaurants in the James Beard Foundation’s (JBF) Taste America® Local Dish Challenge. Foodies nationwide can show their local pride by participating in this social media-driven competition, which is part of the James Beard Foundation’s Taste America®: “Local Flavor from Coast to Coast,” a 10-city tour exploring America’s diverse culinary diversity in Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., September 20 through October 19.
Chef Levon Wallace has chosen to feature Marksbury Farm Chicken with seared breast, confit leg, ricotta, mint, cherry tomatoes, panzanella to showcase the best of Kentucky cuisine, from September 1 through October 31, 2013. Proof will donate $1 from each dish sold to the JBF Taste America® Education Drive, which supports JBF’s educational programs on topics surrounding our country’s food system. These programs include the annual JBF Food Conference, JBF Leadership Awards, and new Chefs Boot Camp for Policy & Change.
Diners can support the JBF Taste America® Local Dish Challenge by following the below steps:
- Visit Proof between September 1 and October 31.
- Order the Taste America Local Dish, Marksbury Farm Chicken with seared breast, confit leg, ricotta, mint, cherry tomatoes, panzanella
- Take a photo of the dish
- Post to Instagram with #JBFTasteamerica and #bentonville
- Example: “Just had this delicious #jbftasteamerica dish from #TheHive featuring Arkansas pasture raised chicken in #bentonville”
- Dine local often
When the promotion concludes at 11:59pm EST on October 31st, 2013, the city with the most Instagram photo uploads will be declared the winner and receive a donation from JBF in the amount of $10,000 or 10% of the proceeds raised nationally, whichever is higher.
