As part of our commitment to making contemporary art a part of daily life, 21c Museum Hotel Cincinnati is partnering with Visionaries and Voices to present free monthly art classes in the gallery spaces at 21c. This month’s V+V@21c class will welcome back teaching artist Braxton Thomas, and creative collaborator Tori Keith. Braxton will work with participants to create a “Memory Map” of the 50 United States. Participants will choose a state after viewing various kinds of maps and illustrations, and then will draw their selected states from memory. At the end, the states will come together in a collaborative work depicting the United States. All materials provided. And if all the creative energy makes you thirsty, our friends at Metropole are shaking up some specials on their crafty cocktails (just $8/each) and are offering $5 local draft beers for class attendees.
